SVS Connect is a member-driven, self-governed platform. Upon creating an account, each member is required to read through and accept the terms and conditions which state that any post may be removed if it is not consistent with the “rules.” From time to time, SVS staff will receive a request to remove a post that is offensive or is in bad taste. When this happens, staff reviews the post and consults with the SVS Secretary to make a “ruling.” When a post is removed, the SVS protocol is to always notify the member and explain why the post was withdrawn. The member is always encouraged to repost their rephrased piece.
We encourage all members to re-familiarize themselves with the Terms and Conditions of SVS Connect. They can be found in the top right-hand corner of your webpage or in the Open Forum library.
SVS Connect is a fantastic platform for the vascular surgery specialty to have open-minded and productive discussions. It is important to remember that all members are united under one specialty and that we each have the common goals of improving our practices, becoming better informed, and providing the best care possible for our patients.
